Hawks finish last in 2 rounds

Hartford women’s golf team travelled to Beallsville, Maryland on Monday where they competed in the Hoya Invitational.

The Hawks concluded play at the Members Club at Four Streams in last place out of a total seventeen teams with a final score of 716 after two rounds. Round three was canceled on Tuesday due to inclement weather.

Sophomore Sarah Sideranko led the pack once again, finishing her first 36 holes with a total of 169, making her tied for No. 52.

Sideranko finished first for UHa. The sophomore concluded the PGA course just 10 over par, recording a 92 on the green.

Junior Emily Linn placed second for the team with a No. 83 finish, and with each of her rounds totaling to 181.

Finishing just behind her at No. 84 was freshman Aubrey Ungvarsky, third for Hartford with a 182 for the tournament.

Junior Marissa Kallaugher ranked fourth for the Hawks in a tie for 86th place overall. Her two rounds came up to 187.

Sophomore Kirsten LaPointe closed out the top five scorers for the Hawks with a grand total of 204, good for No. 88 overall.

Hartford women’s golf team will play at the MAAC Championship in Lake Buena Vista, FL on Disney’s Magnolia golf course starting April 29 for a three-day competition.
