A minor fire in the Village Quad No. 5 on Thursday injured no residents, but will displace some students overnight according to a university spokesman.
The fire was reported at around 7:20 p.m. and most students were allowed back into the building at around 9 p.m.
A resident there, Lucas Dantas, said one of his friends came back from the gym and said, “The whole kitchen was on fire.”
As of 9 p.m., firefighters were still in the affected apartment investigating.
Dave Isgur, university spokesman, told the Hartford Courant that three to six students would be displaced overnight.
No cause has been determined yet as to what started the fire.
