Wolf Pack outplayed by Monarchs, lose 4-1

The Hartford Wolf Pack fell short on all accounts when they hosted the Manchester Monarchs Wednesday night.

The Wolf Pack quickly fell behind their opponents both on the scoreboard, and in passing momentum.
The boos from the crowd did not help the troubled Wolf Pack Wednesday, netting only one goal in the first by left wing, Soryal, his first of the year.

Even talented goalie Chad Johnson, red hot in net, but the Pack could not rally, losing by a margin of 4-1.
The opposing Monarchs, currently ranked No. 3 in the Atlantic Division, exhibited plenty of passing and skilled shooting, outplaying the Pack.

Wednesday night’s game was heated, with several fights out on the ice as both teams tried to ramp up the momentum for their respective team.

Even left wing Soryal dropped his gloves, scoring two-minutes later. Unfortunately, this would be the only time the Pack was able to capitalize their efforts Wednesday night.

Overall, it was a disappointing game for Wolf Pack fans.

Goaltender Chad Johnson said it best in a post-game interview, “We just don’t know where we are at, we need to find our identity.”

The Wolf Pack looks to bounce back from Wednesday’s loss, and keep their Calder Cup playoff dreams alive.
The Hartford Wolfpack is scheduled to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Sunday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available on ticketmaster.com or at the XL Center box office on game day, prices start at $7.
