UNH advanced tonight in battle of the 8 and 9 seeds, handing Maine a 15-point loss, in a game that wasn’t close from the start.
UNH dominated from the start, wether it was determining the pace, or the score, Maine never seemed to have a chance. New Hampshire started off with a 11-1 lead, and just didn’t look back.
The Wildcats were led by Jill McDonald and Chrissy Hall, who each added 14 to Maine’s downfall. Lauren Wells also added 13. The star of the game though wasn’t from the winning team, and was wasn’t even from the starting lineup of Maine.
Tanna Ross, a super-sub, came off the bench, and lit up the scoreboard, with a game-high 20 points. She was the real story of this game, as she was definitely the dominating offensive force, and yet UNH was still able to win.
With five players in double-digits for the Wildcats though, they were able to easily defeat the Black Bears. Next up for the Wildcats is the #1 seeded Hartford Hawks.
